  • Discover what’s new with the EcoPark System and Parks Canada’s contribution to the “Ecological Corridor Pilot Program”.
  • Learn about the habitat restoration projects the EcoPark System partner agencies are undertaking through the Ecological Corridor Pilot Program.
  • Find out how landowner engagement supports the Ecological Corridor Pilot Program.
  • Engage with representatives of the EcoPark System and learn more about how you can get involved.

The Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System is a collaboration among nine government and not-for-profit agencies that collectively protect nearly 2,200 ha of open space and nature sanctuary between Cootes Paradise Marsh, Hamilton Harbour, and the Niagara Escarpment. Since 2007 the collaboration has evolved as a voluntary park alliance in which the participating agencies own and manage their lands individually but collaborate on areas of mutual interest.

EcoPark System partners include Bruce Trail Conservancy, City of Burlington, Conservation Halton, Halton Region, City of Hamilton, Hamilton Conservation Authority, Hamilton Naturalists’ Club, McMaster University, and Royal Botanical Gardens.
